We have extensive experience in the precision machining of Torkington replacement pump shafts, with LaBour being a particular speciality. In most cases we are able to manufacture Torkington replacement LaBour pump shafts from LaBour's own part number therefore avoiding the need for a sample to be supplied.
Torkington replacement pump shafts are CNC precision machined using the latest machine tools and carbide cutting technology.
Torkington replacement pump shafts can be supplied in all materials including exotic nickel alloys, titanium and stainless steels, with full materials certification and certificates of conformity.
Replacement shafts with specialist coatings, including chrome oxide, stellite and Colmonoy® are also available.

Improve alignment – Increase service life!
Misalignment concerns caused by poorly designed or manufactured bed plates can seriously reduce pump service life. Torkingtons fully machined fabricated replacement bed plates with sealed welded pads for indoor and outdoor applications avoid this.
PMI (Positive Material Identification) testing
Torkingtons offer a comprehensive PMI testing service for pump samples who's material type and grade is unknown. PMI can be integral to the reverse engineering process, particularly when applications involve pumping highly corrosive products. Full PMI testing certificates are supplied as required.
PMI testing can be extremely useful if you are conducting a FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) on a pump part that has failed prematurely or in an unusual manner.
